Privacy Policy

Your photos stay yours.

Effective 4 October 2026

The short version. Post Ready has no accounts, no advertising and no tracking, and it runs no servers. What you make stays on your iPhone. Two optional things can send data off it, and each one is off until you turn it on: anonymous usage statistics, and Claude writing copy for a post.

What stays on your device

The photos you share into Post Ready or pick inside it, your posts, slide text, captions and interview answers are stored in the app's private storage on your iPhone. Your Anthropic API key, if you add one, is stored in the iOS Keychain on this device only and is not synced. None of this is sent to the developer.

Your photo library

Post Ready asks for add-only access so it can save the slides it renders into Photos. It cannot browse your library: it only sees the photos you choose to share or pick.

Optional usage statistics (Amplitude)

Post Ready asks once whether you want to share anonymous usage data. If you say yes, it sends events about how the app is used to Amplitude, our analytics provider: which screens and tools you use, counts and timings (for example “exported 8 slides in 3 seconds”), the app version, your device model, iOS version, language and country. Each install gets a random identifier; your IP address, city and Apple device identifiers are not collected. The events never contain your photos, the words on your slides, captions, interview answers or API key. The data is used only to improve Post Ready, is not sold or shared for advertising, and is not combined with data from other apps. Until you answer, nothing is sent; if you say no, nothing is sent. Change it any time in Settings → Share anonymous usage data. Amplitude processes the data under its privacy policy (amplitude.com/privacy).

Optional AI writing (Anthropic)

The “Use Claude to write copy” setting is off by default. If you turn it on and add your own Anthropic API key, then each time you tap Generate, Post Ready sends that post's photos (downsized, without location data), its slide text and your interview answers directly to Anthropic's Claude API (api.anthropic.com) over an encrypted connection, so Claude can draft the copy. The request is billed to your own Anthropic account, and Anthropic processes it under its API terms and privacy policy (anthropic.com/legal/privacy). The developer never receives this data. Turn the setting off to stop all network access.

Instagram

Post Ready can open the Instagram app for you after an export. It does not sign in to Instagram or send anything to Meta; you post the saved slides yourself.

Deleting your data

Settings → Reset all data removes every post, your interview answers and your API key from this device. Deleting the app removes them too. Slides you exported to Photos stay there until you delete them in Photos. Usage statistics already sent are tied only to a random install identifier, not to you; turning the setting off stops any further sending.

Children

Post Ready is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes, the new version will appear here and in the app with a new effective date. Questions: elykhin@gmail.com.
